West Coast Wonders: Make the Most of the Rest of Your Summer

Cork on a Fork Summer Festival
It’s not over yet… we're embracing every last sunny day with great food, cold wine, and a table set for joy.

From Sligo's Film & Folk Festival to Kerry's legendary Puck Fair - here are some dates for the diary to fill the last of the summer holidays with coastal day-trips out west.

Kenmare Arts Festival

Kenmare, Kerry, 3rd -17th August

This idyllic Kerry town goes all-out with their window displays for their annual festival. A hotspot for poets and painters, book into a workshop to get some tips from their local talent.

Puck Fair

Killorglin, Kerry, 10th-12th August

A right of passage for any self-respecting west coast native, they don’t make events like this anymore. Once in your lifetime you need to experience the crowning of the goat king in one of Ireland's longest running festivals.

Cork on a Fork Fest

Cork City, 13th-17th August

Pairing, tastings, workshops, trails, demos and tours, there’s a lot packed into this programme and even more top quality local grub to celebrate. So take a seat along the street and dine on the best seasonal ingredients.

Chamber Music on Valentia

Valentia Island, Kerry, 14th-17th August

This Maritime wonderland is like something out of a Wes Anderson movie, and a perfect location for a classy festival such as this. We’re looking forward to hearing fiddle player Ultan O’Brien who will hopefully be playing some pieces from his debut solo album release earlier this year, Dancing the Line.
