Treatment to Try: Elemis Biotec Firm-a-Lift Facial at The Galmont

Elemis offers seven facial treatments under the Biotec umbrella, including the one I chose, the Biotec Firm-a-Lift, designed to combine massage with sculpting galvanic technology to tone, lift, plump, smooth, and hydrate the skin. A bold promise, but having experienced galvanic treatments before and being a fan of the Elemis skincare range, this facial sounded perfect.
The experience
I arrived early to unwind in the thermal suite, taking full advantage of the sauna and heated beds. The treatment room was spacious and the bed was warm and inviting. The facial began with a deep cleanse, followed by an active serum. My therapist, Orla, guided me through each process with expert hands and gentle ease. I loved the balance of touch and new machine technologies throughout the treatment.
The Biotec machine features specialized attachments that allow the therapist to cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, lift, and tone. Despite the advanced technology involved, the experience was incredibly relaxing. The treatment lasted over an hour, and afterward, I retreated to the relaxation lounge to enjoy even more me-time with fruit and herbal tea.
The results
The Elemis Biotec facial delivered exactly as promised. I was thrilled with the results. My facial contours appeared more lifted, and my skin looked noticeably hydrated and smoother. Over the following days, the hydration and softness only
improved. This facial is ideal to have before a special occasion or whenever your skin needs an extra boost.
Spirit One Spa may be in the heart of bustling Galway, but for the duration of my visit, I felt completely removed from the city’s hustle and bustle. A true oasis of relaxation.
