Social Shots: Galway Races Kick Off Festival Season with Glamorous Launch

The Galway Races launched their 2025 Summer Festival in style at the new Radisson RED Hotel in Galway, with Chairman Dr Colm O’Flaherty and CEO Michael Moloney welcoming guests and sharing highlights from the upcoming event.
The occasion also marked Mayor Mike Cubbard’s first official engagement and featured appearances from Mandy Maher, head judge of the iconic Ladies Day; Lisa McGowan, this year’s Guest Judge; and Marietta Doran, host of Athlone Towncentre’s Friday’s Most Stylish competition.
The festival, runs from 28 July to 3 August and is expected to draw more than 130,000 attendees for a week of racing, fashion and family fun. Irish skincare brand Ella & Jo joins this year’s festivities as the new sponsor of Ladies Day, adding extra glamour to the Best Dressed Competition.
