A Day In The Life of Style Creator Joanna Cluskey
What does balancing a busy job with family life look like? The style creator shows how she fits it all into 24 hours.

Proud Galway Girl and style creator, Joanna Cluskey, has a lot going on. A mum of three children, she balances home life with work as a personal shopper and style creator, engaging thousands of followers with her fun, accessible style reels. What does an average day look like for a busy woman like this? Here, she shares all.

Joanna’s Morning Routine: 6am starts, family duties and fueling for the day

I’m a real morning person, but I love to be in bed early the night before. I often get up at 6am and try to squeeze in a quick workout, either light weights or Pilates. I take Symprove on an empty tummy and 10 minutes later, my daily Sisterly supplement, The Elevator. I then make a protein and collagen shake using the delicious Irish brand Juspy

Next, it’s full mummy mode, getting the kids ready for school – uniforms, lunches, breakfast and hairstyles before taking them to school. As I’m on a career break from teaching this year, I come back home and make a big bowl of gluten-free porridge with flaxseed and banana. I’ve changed to decaf coffee and tea, and I’m definitely feeling better for it.

Work Mode: The ever-changing average workday

As I’m not teaching this year, every day is now different. I may have fashion or beauty content to create, a personal shopping appointment with a client or a modelling job with Assets the agency.

If I’m not in Dublin, I love to pick the kids up from school and bring them to the playground or to one of their many activities. My husband is also a primary school teacher, so he often joins us for the afternoon or takes over if I’m away.

Time to unwind:

First things first, I love putting my PJs on - as early as 5 pm! From there, I’ll make a nice, healthy dinner for the family. We often have homework to catch up on, and I need time to post content around 7 pm, as this is a busy time online.

If I have a series on the go, I’ll settle down to watch an episode or two of that. I’ve just finished The Summer I Turned Pretty and loved it! I usually go to bed early at the same time as the kids. My husband, Danny, is the night owl in the family. I treasure this time at night with the kids. We have a routine of listening to a calming meditation together or reading a story, which I love.
