Celebrate
Head to the Latin Quarter on 2nd August from noon to 3 p.m. for some Bao, Brunch and Beats to celebrate the first birthday of Kombu Ramen & Bao Bar.
For Kombu’s first birthday, a new delicious brunch menu will be unveiled and served with Irish DJ Jenny Greene providing music for the afternoon.
The award-winning restaurant serves Japanese-inspired food with a vibrant atmosphere. Chef Patron of Kombu, Jp McMahon cannot believe Kombu has already been open for a year saying, “We have been overwhelmed by the support from our customers and are incredibly grateful to everyone who has dined with us over the past twelve months.”
There will be no reservations so head over early if you're keen on tasting the new menu.

The longest continual Pride event in Ireland is back from 2nd to 8th August.
This year's theme is “Still We Rise.” Hosted by Galway Community Pride, the festival gives an opportunity for LGBTI+ people and allies to celebrate their diversity, connect and engage.
This year, celebrate with a Pride Parade, Queer Club Night at Tabú, Pride in the Park and many more events spread out all over Galway.

Celebrate traditional Irish culture with a bit of a competitive edge at the Inis Oírr Currach Races.
On the weekend of 15th and 16th August, head to the Inis Oírr for music, fun and currach races.
While skilled rowers will take on the currach racing, there’s a challenge waiting for everyone. Test your strength in a tug o’war match or a weight throwing competition. There’s even a three legged race and egg and spoon race for the kiddos!

Join The Studio and Dublin’s supper club outfit Landlover food on 21th August at 7 p.m. for the Supper Club.
This pop-up dinner event welcomes guests to try five courses of delicious foods and artisanal cocktails alongside others. Expect Irish seasonal produce and beauty within the food, the venue and throughout the entire evening.

Following a successful launch in July, the 101st Connemara Pony Show is back from the 18th-21st August in Clifden.
These four days welcome visitors and competitors from all over Ireland to celebrate the ponies, Connemara and its community.
This unforgettable event will have an art exhibition, a dog show, an Irish dancing competition, live music and more.
Some champions from the 2025 show will also make a return to Cliffden including 2025 Supreme and Ridden Champion Glencarrig Douvan and three-time Ridden Champion rider Grace Maxwell Murphy.

On the weekend of 29-30 August in Connemara, creatives can connect and share insight into how they use stop motion to bring stories to life.
There will be screenings, artists talks, awards, workshops and more during the free festival hosted by Stiúideo Fia.
