Blas na Samhna food festival returns from 31st October-30th November for a month-long celebration of the best food our region has to offer.

Expect intimate dinners, exciting themed pop-ups, whiskey and cheese tastings and the opportunity to try something new.

Back for its second year running, Barna Art Fair is set to take place from 22nd-23rd of November.

Showcasing some of the best contemporary artwork from the west, this year's event features over 24 artists, with vibrant works ranging from paintings to mixed media pieces.

Immerse the whole family in S.T.E.M

Running 9th-21st November, the Galway Science and Technology Festival returns, with this years’ theme Then, Today, Tomorrow, celebrating inventions of the past, current innovation and inspiring the next generation of scientists.

For the parents of budding scientists, be sure to check out the free family day exhibition, taking place on the 9th of November at University of Galway. Featuring over 100 interactive exhibits, 25 unique shows and workshops suitable for all ages, visitors can discover everything from unusual bugs to the beloved Teddy Bear Hospital.

The Science of Women's Health hosted by Consultant Endocrinologist Professor Mary Ryan and renowned breathing expert Patrick McKeown is an event not to miss for women passionate about their health and wellbeing.

Explore the impacts of displacement through art

Running from 7th-23rd November, Tulca Festival of Visual Arts will see works from 26 artists and collectives from Ireland curated by Beulah Ezeugo.

This year's theme, Strange lands still bear common ground, was inspired by the anonymously drawn Burmese map of the world and responds to the global crisis of displacement and the concept of reorientation.

Extending across Galway city, with a satellite exhibition in New York, the programme features curator and artist talks, exhibitions, workshops and gallery tours with artists working across installation, film, performance and sound.

Celebrate our traditional sound

Galway Tradfest returns this 13th-16th November, celebrating the wonderful sounds of traditional Irish music with engaging sessions across the county.

Aiming to immerse the next generation into the wonderful world of trad, as well as promote the traditional Irish sound, the event will see masterclasses, concerts and performances featuring renowned musicians across Galway city.

Highlights include a vibrant dancehall session hosted by Edwina Guckian, an exciting concert featuring Piaras O Lorcain, Clare Sands and more, and a series of educational masterclasses for youths at Claregalway College.
