Meet Helen Mannion: Revive Active’s Head of Brand on Navigating Success, Connection and Wellness
As mother of three and the Head of Branding for Ireland’s beloved Revive Active, Helen Mannion has the scoop on managing all life has in store.

Founded in 2011, Revive Active has become a trusted and loved super supplement not only in the West but all over the world. Helen Mannion takes us inside how she balances her personal life and work life inside Ireland’s number one dietary and vitamin brand.

I have three children under ten, so I’m normally up at 6:30 every morning. On office days, I have breakfast, take my Revive Active, and I’m in the car by 7:15.

I love the health and wellness industry and have got to meet some really good people. I’m a big believer in nurturing connections, especially in the small world of Irish sales and marketing.

The past year or so here at Revive has been centred around new product development. Over the last 12 months, we have launched six new supplements. Our philosophy revolves around the three Ps – power of the ingredients, purity of the ingredients and positive effect on lives.

Out of the full range, I’ll dip in and out of several products, but I always start my day with Revive and end it with magnesium. Magnesium is a wonderful product that helps you unwind and aids recovery post-exercise.

In marketing, no two days are ever the same. Creativity is key. As I’ve climbed the career ladder, I’ve seen it from various angles.

It’s essential to start as a creative person and later, as a leader, know how to organise and plan, while still sustaining that creativity, even as you move into more strategic roles.

What’s crucial is understanding everyone’s roles within a dynamic team. Managing a team of 14 requires nurturing and developing careers.

Working in the wellness sector, it’s important to manage the wealth of information available. While tempting to follow every new trend, sometimes you just need to go back to basics. For myself, I aspire to more routine, but reality often has other plans.

A big challenge in this industry is switching off due to social media. I’ve learned to dedicate evenings and weekends to my family – real moments for family time, which I encourage my team to do as well.

With my three kids, my wellness often revolves around them. Making exercise happen around their activities is crucial, like walking around the pitch while they train. One must find pockets of time for oneself.

Local successes are just as rewarding as international – seeing products on shelves internationally, like in Portugal or the United Arab Emirates, brings a great sense of pride, as does seeing our entire range prominently displayed at local stores.
